Tenzen Akabane (赤 (あか) 羽 (ばね) 天 (てん) 全 (ぜん) , Akabane Tenzen) is a character of the Unbreakable Machine-Doll series. He is a Japanese mage and puppeteer from the Akabane Clan; the eldest son of Kuukan Akabane and Yoshino Akabane, the elder brother of Raishin Akabane and Nadeshiko Akabane. Tenzen's true state is currently unknown; whether he is still alive, and if he is, his whereabouts are, or he is already dead. He is assumed by Raishin of having killed their clan and of being Magnus.

Tenzen (天 (てん) 全 (ぜん) , Tenzen)'s Japanese (Wikipedia) kanji (Wikipedia) is the compound of Ten (天 (てん) , Ten), meaning "heaven", and Zen (全 (ぜん) , Zen), meaning "complete". Akabane (赤 (あか) 羽 (ばね) , Akabane)'s Japanese kanji is the compound of Aka (赤 (あか) , Aka), meaning "crimson", and Hane (羽 (はね) , Hane), meaning "wing".

Appearance

During the night of the Akabane Clan's massacre, in the anime, Tenzen wore an asymmetric silver mask that has a crimson wing-like design on its right side part and an opening for his left eye extending vertically downward to his face that covers the part of his eyes to the part of his nose together with a black tate eboushi on top of his head and a black kariginu that has a red koromo, and in the manga, he wore a kariginu.

During a fireworks festival, in the anime OVA 4, a younger Tenzen wore a dark blue yukata that has a light blue obi wrapped around his waist.

Facing "Cannibal Candy"

In Raishin's flashback, at the reception hall of the Akabane Clan Estate that was ablaze, Tenzen was standing amidst of the corpses of his relatives and kicked away the body of Kuukan Akabane as Raishin entered the room. Raishin then recognised Nadeshiko and burst out a cry as Tenzen coldly gazed at him.
