Puppet Craftsman (人形師 Ningyōshi) is a person who creates a puppet. A puppet craftsman may use various different materials to create different types of puppets. Inorganic materials such as wood can produce a normal doll, such as tin can produce a normal automaton, or such as ash, remains or memento can produce a higher grade automaton. Materials turned from parts of a living human can produce a Banned Doll. The quality of the puppet produced depends on the skills of the puppet craftsman as well as the quality of the materials used. A material's quality is rated after its usefulness for magic arts such as ash which is considered to be a high quality material or such as a living human's parts which have vastly superior affinity with magic energy compared to ash, remains or memento.
